How is sick pay paid?

The Sick Pay Law stipulates a tiered model for absence due to illness (subject to presentation of a medical certificate): The first day: no payment (0%). The second and third day: payment of 50% of the regular salary. From the fourth day onwards: payment of 100% of the regular salary. (Note: In many collective agreements or employment contracts in high-tech and the public sector, there are conditions that benefit the employee, according to which 100% is paid already from the first day) Adv.
