Burial expense payments

If I, in my resignation statement, submitted by registered mail one month before my resignation, demanded from the employer full payment of dmei avra'a for 6 years of work, and I can prove this to the court, is this sufficient for the court to award payment for all 6 years, and not just for the last 2 years?
