Calculation of severance pay with varying wages in summer and winter
I have been working at a private factory for over eight years. Currently, worker layoffs are taking place at the factory. In the summer, we get orders, and the number of working hours and salary increase. However, annually from October, working hours are sharply reduced; often we work 4 days a week. Thus, if in summer the salary is 5000-6000 shekels, then during the time I mentioned, from October, it's only 3000-4000. In this case, how is severance pay (pitzuim) calculated — based on the average salary for 3 months or annual? Is such a situation considered a deterioration of working conditions?1 answer - Dismissal and Pre-Termination Hearing6/23/2026
How to resign without losing rights to severance pay?
I have been working for 2 years in one place, in one company. I am often on sick leave, and I was transferred to a more difficult job. Due to my health condition, I cannot continue working (the doctor does not provide a certificate). I want to resign. How to properly resign without losing the right to severance pay?1 answer - Dismissal and Pre-Termination Hearing6/23/2026
When will I be considered terminated at the employer's initiative?
Worked in a large, well-known firm (private). From 10.02.2022 to 14.11.2022, received a letter — end of season. From 15.11.2022 to 9.05.2023 was at home (waiting for a call). From 10.05.2023 to 28.11.2024 worked there again and again — end of season. Waiting for a call. How is it possible to receive severance pay and for what period, how to receive provident fund contributions in full, as well as all other payments (pension fund, advanced training fund). How to properly transition from one contractor to another
I have been working at Technion in cleaning for 5 years now — 4 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the evening. All this time I have not been on vacation, there are no employment conditions, I received money for the morning in cash, and for the evening — by check. Now the contractor at Technion is changing. I would like to stay there because it's close to home, not many hours, not so difficult. But the problem is that the previous contractor will not give me a letter of dismissal — either I have to resign myself, or he will transfer me to other sites — far away, harder, more hours, etc. The new contractor is ready to accept me, but only if I leave the old contractor. What should I do? How to properly resign to receive severance pay, and am I entitled to them at all?0 answers - Rights of Contract and Agency Workers6/21/2026
